OOZE are among one of six shortlisted teams who will compete to design a 'world-class, exemplary' public space outside Croydon's landmark Fairfield Halls in London, UK. The collaboration is led by MICA Architects, with Ooze, Charles Holland Architects, acclaimed contemporary designer Adam Nathaniel Furman, DHA Design Services and eHRW.
The redevelopment of this significant public space sits at the heart of a masterplan to transform the area in to a new cultural quarter, and is part of a wider £5.25 billion investment programme to regenerate the borough of Croydon.
Teams were selected based on their potential to 'push the boundaries of public space, art, light, technology, and inclusiveness' and create one of the most exciting public spaces in London. Concept designs will be submitted in late May.
