19 December 2023Deep Dive, a Water As Leverage workshop in Prayagraj
This week the city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh will host a Water as Leverage for Resilient Indian Cities kick-off workshop under the Indo-Dutch Strategic Water Partnership. OOZE and City of 1,000 Tanks is delighted to join the team together with Deltares, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Netherlands Embassy in India, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water together with UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme), the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and Chennai Resilience Centre. The 3 days event will combine presentations, talks, work sessions and reflection moments. The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (Nagar Nigam Prayagraj) and National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) will be leading parts of the event.
OOZE Architects & Urbanists and Deltares will together organize a data collection and a deep-dive session on the city.
Located at the confluence of the River Ganges and the River Yamuna, Prayagraj is a sacred and historic city that welcomes the Kumbh Mela, a religious gathering spanning 55 days that can host 200 million pilgrims visiting to perform a sacred immersion.
