IACCCA Symposium invites Ooze and Marjetica Potrč to discuss role of art in public space

30 November 2018

We were very pleased to give the keynote talk at the International Association of Corporate Collections of Contemporary Art (IACCCA) 2018 Symposium on 27th November in Berlin, with the topic 'Art Commissions and Art in Public Space'.

We shared our experience of years of practice, from completed projects such as 'Between the Waters' and 'Of Soil and Water: King's Cross Pond Club', as well as current public art project 'Future Island'.

We highlighted what our public art projects have in common - for example how they transform users into participants through hands-on experience - as well as some commonly experienced problems in the commissioning process, such as the need for funding institutions to recognise and allocate budget to people (not just to objects), for management and public engagement.
