Press Launch - City of 1000 Tanks at the Goethe Institut/ Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai

On 5 October, The City of 1000 Tanks project was officially launched through a press release. The event was hosted by the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai and attracted over 30 personnel from the English, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam media. Henk Ovink (Special Envoy for International Water Affairs for the Kingdom of Netherlands), Eva Pfannes (OOZE Architects & Urbanists), and N.K. Sudheendra (Madras Terrace Architectural works) presented different aspects of the of the project, while Dr. Katharina Görgen (Director, Goethe-Institut, Chennai) moderated the event. The Water Balance Pilot and Social media campign were the central focus of the event. Tuli the project mascot was unveiled. A total of 35 news clips were published in print and online.
