The "GOING PUBLIC" programme of the Faculty of Architecture, KU Leuven is casting a light on the current debates and activities in studios, courses and research groups. The programme of the lecture series brings different practices and types of thinking to infuse new knowledge within the walls of the faculty and reflect back its findings to the world.
The back-to-back lecture by Eva Pfannes (OOZE) and Saskia van Stein (IABR) presents and reflects on the most recent works of OOZE, in relation to the “Research by Design” project initiated by the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR). OOZE’s work will be discussed from a broader cultural perspective, highlighting its relevance for a world in transformation with a focus on the Local Energy Action Plan project, commissioned by IABR. A round table will focus on answering questions such as, how can design be understood as an agent of change? What role can be played by knowledge institutes and cultural platforms such as the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam?’
