Design Museum London hosts Water Futures presentations and panel discussion
Hosted by Jane Withers, the event featured presentations and discussions by designers and organisations responding to the urgent issues around the drinking water crisis such as scarcity and pollution. The evening explored the ongoing, multidimensional relationship between drinking water, city life, and its future possibilities, encouraging an imaginative and human-centric design approach to promoting and improving drinking water awareness worldwide.
Ooze participated alongside Siân Sutherland, co-founder of campaign group ‘A Plastic Planet’ and Aric Chen, a curator and writer based in Shanghai, and curator of Beazley Designs of the Year 2018, currently on display at the Design Museum.
This event formed part of Water Futures at A/D/O New York, a year-long programme curated by Jane Withers Studio, inviting designers to challenge and change our water culture. The Ooze exhibition ‘Water Bodies’ at the A/D/O gallery in New York and the project ‘Every Other Street’ were also developed as part of this programme.
