Masterclass with Cave Bureau and Slow Research Lab, Rotterdam

Eva Pfannes participates to the Slow Research Lab facilitated an all-day masterclass/design workshop with Kabage Karanja and Stella Mutegi from Cave Bureau, hosted by Independent School for the City in Rotterdam—bringing together a small group of thinkers, architects, artists, and scientists to discuss and brainstorm creative and technical aspects of the one-year joint project, entitled ‘Anthropocene Museum 10.0 : Waters of Ol Doinyo Nyukie,’ is supported by the Stimuleringsfonds as part of a four-year framework called ‘Resilient Communities, Inclusive Cities, Just Societies,’ funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the project’s main task to design a system of water catchment and storage on Mount Suswa, a dormant volcano located 125 km west of Nairobi,
Eva Pfannes shares her knowledge and experience on OOZE’s water projects and contributes with feed back and inputs to this cross cultural and transdisciplinary project, building new horizons of creativity and ecological resilience in the Great Rift Valley.
