Winner of Croydon Fair Field

13 September 2019

We are excited to announce that our team has won the competition for the design of Croydon’s Fair Field commissioned by the London Borough Croydon (LBC). The design team includes OOZE, MICA ArchitectsCharles Holland Architects, Adam Nathaniel Furman, WasserWerkstatt, DHA Design Services and eHRW.

Our proposal is a metropolitan meadow for Croydon with the UK's first naturally filtered water feature, a mirror pool that also functions as an amphitheatre and, when dry, a multi-purpose performance and gathering space. The jury commended the design as a 'world class and exemplary public space'. We will now develop the designs further with the community, civic stakeholders and our multidisciplinary design team. The project is expected to reach completion and open to the public by early 2022.
