The talk and participative design workshop are part of the process to develop a new Nature and Water Recreation Park at the Wasserkreuz in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany. The park is a project of ‘EMSCHERLAND 2020’ – a regional cooperation led by wastewater management company Emschergenossenschaft.
The session, on Friday 5th July, was with civic stakeholders including local government, community groups and local residents, to generate ideas for gardens which will be realised in the future park. Participation, engagement with nature and biodiversity are important themes for the project.
Eva Pfannes from Ooze was joined by gardener Steffi Strauß, who has collaborated on Ooze projects such as Between the Waters, Hortus Oblitus and the Kings Cross Pond Club.
