19 June 2019
Tomorrow, Friday 21st of June at 14:00, Ooze will join the panel of the event Doing it together: urban collaboration in Brazil, at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. The event, focussed on cultural cooperation between Brazil and the Netherlands to build liveable cities, is part of the programme for annual festival WeMakeThe.City and initiated by DutchCulture.
After an introduction from Nanna Stolze, deputy consul-general São Paulo and head of cultural affairs, two Brazilian experts – Washington Fajardo (Rio de Janeiro) and Laura Sobral (São Paulo) – will elaborate on how active citizenship, culture and heritage in Brazil can reconnect citizens to the public spaces of cities. In the panel discussion that follows, Eva Pfannes from Ooze will highlight our long-term involvement with issues of urban liveability in Brazilian cities through projects such as Água Carioca and Água Paulista, as well as reflect on the themes raised during the session.
